    Mom's Going Web 2.0

    Hi, friends,
I've decided that it's time to retire "The Tsao Kids" website. BUT have no fear! I am continuing to post pictures on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/marytsao/) and I write about the kids all the time on my blog (http://marytsao.blogspot.com).

Come visit us there! Hope you're having a great summer...
    Mary

    A check-up and five shots

Thomas went in for a check-up on Tuesday and was declared perfect in every respect. He is in the 75th percentile for height and the 25th percentile for weight.

He got five shots -- 2 in each thigh and one in his arm. He was a brave little boy. Emily got a shot, too. She barely cried. They're such good kids! For their pain, they each received a stuffed animal from the nurse.

    Welcome to the World, Curtis!

Today we visited newborn Curtis and his parents Stacey and Jonathon. Curtis is Uncle Sherman's great grandson and is one week old today. Such a cutie!

    Thomas's first haircut

Thomas got his first haircut today. He sat quietly and patiently. It was amazing. He didn't cry at all. Good job, T!

Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose

Today the kids and I went to the Children's Discovery Museum for the first time. That place is great! The kids loved it and three hours seemed to fly by.

Lots of cute photos in the February 2006 album.

Emily Rose is Not a Baby

I just wanted to note that today for the first time ever, Emily said to me, "Mama, I'm not a baby."

    That's fine, but I'm still a mama!

Merry Christmas to You and Yours!

We've had a great Christmas morning full of presents, sweet rolls, and coffee. The hit present of the day was the cash register and the Dora doll. Sparkle glue and stickers are cool, too. Now we're relaxing and putting stuff together to take to Auntie Jennie and Uncle Nick's. It's the first Christmas in their new house!

Photos in the Christmas 2005 album. More to come!

    Happy Birthday to Thomas!

Thomas turned one year old on December 6. We celebrated his birthday with a small party at home on Sunday. Special guests TuTu Jewel, Grammie Martha, Da Da Tsao, and Auntie Jennie joined me, Mike, Emily, and birthday boy Thomas for brunch, cake, and presents.

Auntie Jennie presented our Mr. T with the following poem:

    "December 6, 2005"

    Sturdy Mr. Tommy T
    One year ago today
A dark and stormy night felled trees
And you blew in our way

Who'd ever guess you're part Chinese?
    Blue-eyed and blond like Mama
    But baby talk already proves
You love to say, "Da Da!"

    Bananas, turkey, penne too
Thoms sure knows how to eat
You're almost big as Emily Rose
    Amazingly as sweet

    You're quite the budding traveler
    Big Apple, Lone Star state
    Pools in Vegas, TuTu's house
You screamed out, "This is GREAT!"

    T, you're getting started now
Can't wait to watch you grow
    Enjoy your birthday fun today
We all just love you so!

    Where has the time gone?

I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving! We're hosting this year. Auntie Jennie and Uncle Nick are coming over to help us eat our turkey, garlic mashed potatoes, stuffing, pumpkin pie, etc.

We've got two special visitors at the end of this month. Both Tutu and Grammie Martha will be in town. Nobody was willing to miss Thomas's first birthday on December 6th.

Stay tuned for turkey pics, grandma pics, birthday pics, and more! Lots of new pics coming soon! I promise!
